LOVEVOOK, With Me Through Everything I'm Becoming

Jazlyn Miller was once the little girl who was bullied and needed extra support with learning. Four years, five businesses, and one million views later, LOVEVOOK has been with her through every chapter.

The Girl With Glasses

My story began in second grade, when I transferred schools and struggled with my studies. I brought home low scores, including a 42. My teacher told my mom I would need special education for life. At that age, it was hard not to let those words shape how I saw myself. I was bullied for wearing glasses and attending special education classes. I didn't yet understand that needing help didn't mean I lacked ability.

Then my mom met our neighbor, Ms. Becky, on a walk. A teacher herself, she offered to tutor me for free. We worked together two or three times a week after school. By the end of second grade, I had all A's; in third grade, I made the A Honor Roll. But she gave me more than better grades. She helped me believe in myself and showed me what it means to give your time to someone else.

I began helping classmates, and my teachers noticed a gift for teaching. In eighth grade, I turned tutoring into a business. Now, in twelfth grade, I tutor at least five clients a week. I remember being the little girl who needed help. I want every child I teach to know that needing a different explanation doesn't mean they're incapable.

Years later, the one who believes in her is her. LOVEVOOK just carries the rest.

The Biggest Decision of Summer

Four years ago, before ninth grade, I chose my first LOVEVOOK backpack. I still remember sitting with my mom that July, deciding what to carry on my first day of high school. I was moving to a much bigger school, and everything felt new: the people, the building, the responsibilities. Choosing a backpack felt like one small thing I could get right.

It lasted the entire school year, kept me organized, and stayed looking clean. I loved it enough to choose LOVEVOOK again for tenth grade, eleventh grade, and now my senior year. My little sister, who is seven years younger and now in fifth grade, watched me carry mine year after year. She liked it so much that she switched to LOVEVOOK, too.

As I built my five businesses, my bag started coming with me beyond the classroom. There was tutoring, marketing, content creation, pageant coaching, and J Rose, the boutique I was building with my mom.

Some days, I packed tutoring supplies. Other days, I was preparing for coaching sessions or creating content for businesses. Alongside it all, I was still a student with assignments to finish.

My responsibilities were growing, and what I carried was changing with them.

When I discovered LOVEVOOK also made work bags, it felt like a natural next step. I recently chose the new work tote as my everyday work bag: a brand I'd trusted since freshman year, now part of my working life, too.

In ninth grade, I packed for the school day ahead. Now, I pack for classes, students, clients, and businesses I've helped build.

Looking back at my photos from each grade, I can see that change happening, one year and one new responsibility at a time.

What a Real Day Looks Like

My laptop comes everywhere. There's always another project to work on.

People ask how I fit it all in. Honestly? Every day looks a little different. But there's usually a moment when I'm taking schoolbooks out of my bag and putting tutoring materials or filming supplies in.

Mornings begin with my Bible and getting ready. Then come tech school and college classes until 3:00, followed by emails, tutoring, and pageant coaching. Evenings are often for filming or editing for marketing clients.

Most nights, I'm up until midnight, sometimes 1 or 2 AM, before getting up at 6:30 for high school. It's a full schedule, and no two days are quite the same.

The same bag goes through all those parts of the day with me.

The Little Things Tell You Everything

Even the little things inside my bag tell you something about me. My laptop and charger come everywhere because there's always a project to work on. My notebook catches ideas as they come. Lipstick gives me a little confidence before filming or meeting someone. And my mini Bible helps me feel grounded on overwhelming days, reminding me that I don't have to carry everything alone.

The notebook and supplies aren't just for my own learning anymore. I went from being the little girl who needed a tutor to running a tutoring business and helping other children.

One of my favorite moments happened when a student was stuck on a multiplication problem: “There are three bags with four pieces of candy in each. How many pieces are there altogether?”

He could read the question, but he couldn't picture it. I pulled candy from my LOVEVOOK bag and helped him arrange three groups of four. We counted all twelve pieces, then connected it back to 3 × 4 = 12.

Because I struggled with learning myself, I know how much it matters to find an explanation that works for that child.

I once needed extra help. Now I pack a bag to give that help to someone else.

The Video That Reached a Million People

By the time I collaborated with LOVEVOOK, I'd been using the bags since ninth grade. I had years of personal experience to share, and I wanted that connection to come through in the video.

Seeing it reach over one million views was exciting. But what made me happiest was knowing people in my audience chose something that had helped me so much. Their trust matters to me. I hope the bag helps them feel more organized, just as it has helped me through school and now work.

The comment section became its own story: 728 comments, with one question coming up again and again: “Where's the bag?” The one in the video is the new work tote I recently chose.

What Has Never Changed

From a 42 on a test to the A Honor Roll, I never stopped trying.

My roles keep changing: student, founder of five businesses, creator. But my desire to help people has stayed the same.

I still remember being the little girl with glasses who needed someone to believe in her. As my responsibilities grow, I want to keep that memory close.

“My faith and my family are my anchor. When life feels overwhelming, they remind me that I'm loved beyond my grades, my businesses, or how a video performs. That gives me room to take a breath and keep going.”— Jazlyn

To me, “Color Your Life” means making room for what you love and sharing that joy with others. The most meaningful moments are often someone else's victories: a tutoring student earning their first A, or a coaching client starting to believe in herself. Those moments make my life feel pink. And pink makes me happy!

That calling shows up in the things I build. A few months ago, I felt drawn to create a special night for teens who had reached out on TikTok saying they needed support. I didn't know how it would come together, but it did. Dollying Up the Teens brought sponsors, volunteers, and a little Christmas magic to kids who might not otherwise have experienced it.

Doing what I dreamed about as a little girl, in pink, of course.
Dollying Up the Teens. This is only the beginning.

I started carrying it for school. Now I carry it for everything I'm becoming.

“From a girl who once needed someone to believe in her: whatever chapter you're carrying your LOVEVOOK bag into, give yourself room to grow, follow what you love, and share a little of that love with others.”
